Message:	I recently learned that Snow Valley Mountain Resort has received a C grade from the Ski Area Citizens' Coalition's Ski Area Environmental Scorecard. I care about the environment and would like to see the ski areas that I enjoy engage in environmentally beneficial practices. I plan to use the Ski Area Environmental Scorecard as resource to help choose my ski vacation each year. I would like to continue to patronize your resort, and encourage you to find ways to improve your score. While mitigation measures can attempt to offset negative impacts from development projects, ski areas must consider preservation of undisturbed lands when planning future development scenarios. In addition ski areas need to take seriously cutting global warming causing emissions and supporting clean, renewable energy programs. Only through a balance of responsible preservation and proactive mitigation can a ski area excel in environmental stewardship.
